The Chelan County Sheriff's Office has implemented operational changes aimed at enhancing accountability and public safety service..

Sheriff Mike Morrison announced that patrol supervisors, either Sergeants or Corporals, will be scheduled to work alongside deputies during every patrol shift.

"This change aligns with best practices and fills previous gaps in supervisory coverage that had existed, providing a constant presence and improving the overall effectiveness of law enforcement services in the county," stated a Sheriff's Office news release. "Supervisors play a critical role in overseeing investigations, managing critical incidents, evaluating employee performance, and ensuring accountability. They are responsible for making real-time decisions during incidents, ensuring deputies comply with legal and procedural standards."

All patrol supervisor vehicles will be marked with the word "SUPERVISOR" in addition to their assigned insignia being located in multiple locations on the

vehicle, allowing the public to easily identify on-duty supervisors.
