It’s legal, but it’s not.
That’s the dilemma for marijuana growers in Chelan County; while their grows have been licensed by the state, they’ve got until March 1 of 2018 to wind down their operations due to County Commissioners imposing a ban on growing pot earlier this year. Commissioner Doug England says the Board is awaiting word from the Planning Commission on new rules on marijuana:
The other front the County is working on is getting growers to recognize the ban that’s in place, that growers in operation prior to last September 29th have now less than two years to shut it down:
England says the state has been of almost no help in the matter:
