[8/4/16] WSDOT Says US 97 And US 97A Are Both Construction Free

Posted in Transportation

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, no work is scheduled today or tomorrow on US 97 or US 97A. That means you should have clear sailing with no construction delays from Beebe bridge to East Wenatchee, and from Chelan to Wenatchee, regardless of which route you choose.

Motorists should be prepared for some road construction delays in Douglas and Okanogan counties, however. Expect up to 20 minute delays with flagger control traffic on US 2 east of Waterville today through 8PM this evening.

To the north, in Okanogan County, expect up to 20 minute delays with flagger controlled traffic today and tomorrow between Carlton and Methow on SR 153. DOT contract crews are renovating decks on seven bridges between those two communities.

Motorists should be also be prepared for delays on SR 20 between Winthrop and Okanogan, US 97 between Brewster and Oroville and on SR 17 between Brewster and Leahy Junction as crews spray an asphalt fog seal on the center line and install shoulder rumble strips.

Locally in the Chelan Valley, motorists should be prepared today for delays in the Boyd District.
