[10/13/16] Two Powerful Storm Systems Expected Today And Over Weekend
The pleasant early fall weather we have been experiencing is coming to an end with two powerful storm systems that will bring significant rainfall and gusty winds to regions of the Cascades, including north central Washington, today and through the weekend.
Meteorologist, Andrew Kalen, with the Natonal Weather Service Office in Spokane, says the winds will likely be stronger in the Columbia Basin than in the Wenatchee area…
Kalen says rainfall amounts in eastern Washington could top an inch or more in some areas by Sunday. Residensts west of the Cascades are bracing for even stronger storm conditions in the coming days.
Dan Mercer, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Seattle, says a high wind watch is in effect for much of western Washignton, and the amount of rain there could lead to localized flooding there, including in the mountains…
