[7/8/16] Road work on Highway 97-A

Posted in Transportation

The State Department of Transportation is advising of road work that will be taking place on highway 97-A next week. The work will take place between Wenatchee and the Entiat River Bridge, and will result in single-lane, flagged-controlled traffic with up to 20 minute delays both directions. Crews will be doing a special 36-hour dig out project (full depth reconstruction to remove the large dip in the roadway) south of Entiat at milepost 211 that will result in continuous single-lane traffic thru 07/11/16 Monday night into Tuesday. Afterward, crews will work from 6am to 6pm Wednesday and Thursday. The DOT is recommending motorists use Highway 97 in Douglas County as an alternate.
