[12/5/16] Port of Chelan County To Host Open House For Retiring Mark Urdahl

The Port of Chelan County will host an Open House on December 8, 2016 from 4-6pm at the Confluence Technology Center. Visitors will have an opportunity to thank Mr. Mark Urdahl upon his retirement after 23 years of service to the Port of Chelan County and its constituents. During Mr. Urdahl’s time as Executive Director of the Port, highly notable successes include development of the Confluence Technology Center, the preservation of public waterfront access on the Peshastin Mill Site, remediation of Cashmere Mill Site, Pangborn Airport Runway Extension Project, development of Wenatchee’s Pybus Public Market, creation of the Lake Chelan Entrepreneurship Center, Marina and Moorage projects, and development of the Olds Station Business Park with over 600 jobs. Stop by the Open House to wish Mr. Urdahl the best in retirement.
The event also provides an opportunity to meet the Mr. Patrick Jones who will serve as the Port’s Interim Executive Director.

Patrick Jones has a wealth of port industry experience, having worked for the Port of Seattle, serving as the Executive Director of the Washington Public Ports Association, and most recently, as Executive Director of the Port of Moses Lake, where his leadership resulted in a significant expansion of that community’s industrial base.
