Winter Storm Warning issued November 21 at 5:09AM PST until November 22 at 6:00AM PST. A STRONG AND MOIST PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL PASS THROUGH THE REGION FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY. SNOW WILL GENERALLY BE A MOUNTAIN OCCURRENCE EXCEPT FOR LOCATIONS WEST OF A LINE FROM REPUBLIC TO WENATCHEE.

WSDOT Operations for Wednesday 5/21/14 5/21/2014

 

Fog Seal

US 97 beginning at MP 248 (intersection of 97 & 97A past Chelan Airport) working southbound. They’ll take the road at 7:00 am.

Fog sealing happens after the chip sealing. That is the oil that locks down the rock and blackens the roadway.

 

Chip Seal

SR 172 beginning at MP 25 (East of Mansgield) working east. Tonight crews will broom the sections they get done during the day. They’ll be taking the road at 7:00 am.

 

Crack Seal

US 97 beginning at MP 320 (North of Tonasket) working north. They’ll take the road at 8:00 am.  If they finish this section which ends at MP 326.41 they’ll begin on SR 20. It’s limits are MP 261 to 266
