Chelan County PUD will host a meeting tonight on the water level in Lake Chelan- and is inviting residents to join in the discussion at 6pm in the Park Room at Campbells Resort.
Water from the lake flows through a two mile long tunnel to the powerhouse at Chelan Falls where it generates clean, renewable electricity. It also feeds the Chelan River and flows through new fish habitat in the lower reach of the river near its confluence with the Columbia River.
The level of the lake has long been debated between both visitors and residents of Chelan and PUD officials.
Suzanne Hartman, Communications Manager for Chelan County PUD, says tonight's meeting is a way for the district to continue the dialogue with residents who have questions or concerns about the lake level..."CLICK HERE" for Audio
