Brewster Salmon Derby Huge Success 8/6/2013
The 8th Annual Budweiser Lowrance King Salmon Derby was a resounding success.  102 Salmon were caught by the 265 entrants.  Participants entered from as far away as San Diego, California.  Over $20,000 worth of money and prizes were awarded.
 
Darryl White, from Pateros caught the winning fish on Saturday morning weighing 26 pounds, 15 ounces, won $1600 in cash along with several gift cards; Nick Christoph, Okanogan was second with a 26 pound, 9.6 ounce fish, winning $900 in cash and several gift cards;  third went to Keith Altig, San Diego with a 25 pound, 4.8 ounce fish, winning $650 along with the gift cards.
 
In the 9 to 14 year age bracket, Trey Krause, Arlington won $800 for his 12 pound, 15 ounce fish and Wiley Flohr, Wenatchee won $600 for his 3 pound, 8.6 ounce fish.
 
In the 8 and under age bracket, Alex Davis, Arlington won $150 for his 19 pound, 7.6 ounce fish;  Callie Christoph, Okanogan won $100 for her 3 pound, 15.6 ounce fish and McKayla Ford, Tonasket won $50 for her 1 pound, 4.6 ounce fish.
