Will Wild Hockey Cut Ties With Arena? 4/10/2013
Negotiations between the TownToyotaCenter and the Wenatchee Wild have hit a brick wall- after the Public Facilities District rejected a counter contract offered by Wenatchee Wild owners- Bill and Carla Stewart.
The first 5-year contract between the pair is set to expire next month- and with no new agreement in sight- leaves questions regarding which team, if any, will be playing hockey in Wenatchee.
The Public Facilities District board has been in negotiations with the owners of the Wild since mid-January- and, according to Wenatchee Mayor, and spokesman for the arena board, Frank Kuntz, at that time they requested an option period- offering an opportunity to negotiate exclusively.
KOZI was unable to make contact with Wenatchee Wild owners, Bill and Carol Stewart, but will continue to follow this story- and will bring you their story as soon as we have it.
