The agenda for tonight’s Twisp Town Council meeting is a light one – partly because the Mayor will be absent.
The council still, however, plans to finalize an ordinance after holding a public hearing regarding the changes in the wording surrounding firearms at public markets in town.
The issue stems from recent contact from the Second Amendment Foundation- an organization that promotes a better understanding of the constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms.
Twisp Town Clerk, Jackie Moriarty, says it simply comes down to an outdated wording issue that infringes on the second amendment.
Tonight’s town council meeting and public hearing will begin at 7PM at the TwispTown Hall."CLICK HERE" for Audio
