Red Cross Offers Help To Fire Victims 4/4/2013
An early morning fire that destroyed a home in Manson yesterday- displaced a family of three, along with their dog- and the Apple Valley Chapter of American Red Cross has stepped in to help.
Mariah Thornock, Executive Director for the Apple Valley Chapter, says they received the call yesterday morning of the fire that was called into Rivercom Dispatch just before 1:30 AM- and told a family had just lost their home in Manson.
The Apple Valley Chapter, based out of Wenatchee, serves Chelan, Douglas and GrantCounties and relies on volunteers in communities throughout those Counties. Mariah says volunteers are ready for calls like the one they received yesterday morning at any time- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Since 1881, American Red Cross members and volunteers have been an essential part of helping those in need- just as it did with the family who lost their home in Manson yesterday morning.
If you would like to reach out and help the family displaced from yesterday’s devastating fire in Manson- you can either visit the American Red Cross Apple Valley Chapter Facebook page, call them at 663-3907- or stay tuned right here to KOZI – we will bring you the latest information as the family is able to sift through the aftermath of losing their home.
