Brewster School To Replace Roof Over Break 3/28/2013
The BrewsterSchool District plans to make some major repairs over the coming months- making use of grant funding to finish two major projects.

Brewster Superintendent, Eric Driessen, told KOZI that the district received two different grants last Spring.

The Washington State Schools Urgent Repair Grant Program provides up to $100,000 to address urgent health and safety facility repairs. Applications are scored based on the impact to health and safety, ability to pass levies, and ending fund balances.

The Energy Grant that will pay for the HVAC system, stems from the 2012 Jobs Now Act that offered a competitive grant program to fund energy and operational cost saving improvements in public buildings across the state. Thirteen school districts were awarded more than $9 million in grants that will result in more than $17 million in projects this year.
