New Record Trout Caught In Lake Chelan 2/6/2013
A Wenatchee man snagged a 35 pound 10 ounce lake trout from Lake Chelan Monday morning—earning him the title of  Washington state record holder.
Phil Colyar, owner of Colyar Jewelry in Wenatchee, says he was fishing with a friend on Lake Chelan, (which, by the way, is now his favorite place to cast a line) when he caught the monster fish.
The previous record holder, John Hosack, held the state record since 2001—that fish was also caught in Lake Chelan.
