Evacuation Levels Hold Firm for Buckhorn 9/28/2012
The Okanogan Complex fires are almost fully contained at this point. The Hunter fire is at the “monitor” state as it is 95% contained. The Hunter fire is ending at 211 acres burned.
 
The Buckhorn Fire is at 4,638 acres and considered 75% contained.
 
Alexis West, an information officer for the complex, explains the evacuation levels for the Buckhorn fire and the dangers associated with it.
 
The Leecher fire is 90% contained and the acreage so far is at 1,320. The road closures there have been lifted.
