Red Cross Shelter Available For Evacuees 9/14/2012
After last night’s Level 3 Evacuation of the First Creek Drainage and Granite Falls Creek area due to the fire burning in that area- the American Red Cross set up an emergency shelter at the SeniorCenter in Chelan.

A Level 3 evacuation means leave immediately. Danger to the area is current or imminent and the shelter established at the SeniorCenter will serve as a safe zone for those residents.

Marriah Thornock, Executive Director of Apple Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, says the emergency shelters in our valley started going up last Sunday
