Emily Returns For Short Swim & Good Cause 9/7/2012
Exactly one year after becoming the first person to swim the entire length of Lake Chelan non stop, Emily von Jentzen returns to the valley to help raise funds for the MansonParks and Recreation free swim lessons.
Emily, who serves as an assistant Attorney General for the state of Montana’s Child Protection Unit, finished the swim last year in about 36-hours.
This year, Emily has returned to participate in a less strenuous, yet still very important event- the Manson Swim, which raises money to offer free swim lessons in MansonBayPark.
Emily says she received a call from the director for the Manson Swim lessons, and knew instantly it was a cause she wanted to support.
Emily adds that she loves the Lake ChelanValley and is happy to visit again.
Emily is also scheduled to tell her story to students at the local schools. Again, the Manson Swim event will take place on Saturday starting at noon and participants will swim from WillowPointPark in Manson to Manson Bay Park, which also happens to be where those free swim lessons take place.
If you would like more information about the event, or if you are interested in donating to the cause, can visit our website at and click on the Manson Swim link.
