The preliminary ballot numbers show the bond measure to build a new hospital (Lake Chelan Community Hospital) failing with a 58% yes to 42% no. Chelan County Auditor, Skip Moore expects to have the remaining ballots tallied Wednesday, which could still put the measure over the necessary 60% mark to pass.
Although the remainder of the Chelan County ballot measures did not decide any positions, it could give an indication of what to expect in November for the General Election.
Chelan County Commissioner 3: Doug England has 64% while Mary Signorelli grabbed 36%; position 1: Ron Walter totaled 66% while Gary Schoessler has 34% and for Chelan County Assessor position: Dewayne Crater grabbed 28% and Deanna Walter tallied 72% of the votes.
