A Manson man is in serious condition at CentralWashingtonHospital in Wenatchee after being pulled from Lake Chelan by lifeguards at MansonBayPark late Wednesday evening.
Johnny Henning, of Manson, was swimming in the designated swim area of the park, which is owned and operated by MansonParks and Recreation Department.
MansonBayPark is the only park on Lake Chelan that maintains lifeguard staffing.
Henning was not breathing and had no pulse when he was pulled from the lake, and lifeguards performed lifesaving CPR and used a defibrillator until emergency crews arrived.
MansonParks and Rec Director, Wai Peterson commends the lifeguards that were on duty, and although he wasn’t willing to release many details until the full report was completed, he did say that the incident occurred just as the lifeguards were getting off duty.
KOZI will continue to follow this story and will bring you more details as soon as we know them.
