Foster Creek Fire At 500 Acres 7/13/2012
 Foster Creek fire on Hwy. 17 near MP 132-The fire started at midnight last night.  Fire crews were mopping up the blaze this morning but dry conditions caused it to flare up.  It is currently a 3 alarm fire and has consumed more than 500 acres.  No structures have been damaged but parts of the fire are nearing wheat fields.   There have been no injuries reported.  Douglas County Deputies are helping control traffic on Hwy. 17.  Motorists can expect one way traffic as a DOT pilot car leads cars through thick smoke.  Officials are attempting to get state assistance to help combat the blaze.
