Following nearly 2 years of discussion, the Chelan City Council approved a draft sick leave cash-out policy at last weeks council meeting.

 

The draft policy, under legal review prior to formal adoption, would entitle union and non-union employees alike to convert a portion of their accumulated sick leave to pay.

 

City Administrator, Jim Reinbold, told KOZI the draft policy is nothing out of the ordinary.

 

Reinbold expects to see the final approval of the sick leave policy on the agenda for the next Chelan City Council meeting scheduled for  6 PM Thursday, June 14th  in the Council Chambers on Johnson Ave.
