We’re less than a day away from the third annual KOZI Habitat for Humanity Home Building Day – and we anticipate a record turnout of volunteers to help raise the walls for the 15th home built in the ChelanValley. You’re all invited to lend a hand tomorrow morning beginning at 8:30 at the construction site on Totem Pole road in Manson. It’s easy to find and we could use your help. Just turn left right after the MansonGrangeBuilding and head up the hill about a block and look on your right.
The Habitat House Committee selected the Johnny Morfin Family from dozens of applicant to be first time homeowners and Johnny tells us he has been looking forward to this day for a long time.
Families who are selected to participate in the Habitat for Humanity home ownership program are required to contribute a minimum of 500 hours of sweat equity towards the building of the home and pay for all building costs including materials and land.
We home to see you tomorrow at the KOZI Habitat for Humanity Home Building Day- kicking off at 8:30 AM with free t-shirts to the first 50 volunteers and BBQ lunch for all those who help out. Whether you are a contractor or a do-it-yourself homeowner… there is a job for everyone and we could use your help on this community project.
