Dist. 7 Considers Levy Lid Lift For 2 Stations 5/13/2012
The Citizen Advisory Committee made a formal recommendation to the Chelan Fire District 7 Board of Commissioners to consider placing a levy lid lift on the February 2013 ballot.

The levy lid lift would be for 18 cents per $1,000 property value and its main focus would be to fund two new stations along the south shore as well as the apparatus to outfit each location.

Fire Chief Tim Lemon, says the Citizen Advisory committee spent more than 6 months looking into the district and south shore emergency response improvement plans, including the financial aspect before making their recommendation.

Lemon adds that the board is considering other options as well, and will discuss the levy further at their next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, June 13th at 7 PM.
