[12/17/15] M&O And Technology Levies For LCSD

Posted in EducationTagged

After several Focus group meetings with staff and community members, work sessions and many discussions – the Chelan School Board determined what they will ask for by way of levies on the February 9th ballot.

Chelan School Superintendent, Rob Manahan, says paperwork was filed last Friday that officially put both a Technology Levy and a Replacement Maintenance and Operations Levy on the ballot…

That technology levy, Manahan explains, is an attempt for the school to catch up on how students are being educated through technology…

Manahan adds that as far as the Maintenance and Operations Replacement levy is concerned- folks will initially see a tax rate drop…

If passed, the M&O replacement levy and the Technology levy will join the current Capital Levy for tax payers within the Chelan School District.
