Manson Trojans began their post-season meets at Liberty Bell with the League finals. Nine teams field the competition with competitors from Okanagan, Brewster, Tonasket, Liberty Bell, and of course Manson to mention a few. The boy’s varsity stepped up placing 4th even without their top runner and 2 others usually on the varsity team. Special kudos goes to Conner Torgesen, Manson’s top runner, followed by Jose Vasquez, both 9th graders.

Manson girl’s team was fielded by one, Raeanna Mogan, running well in a time 32:39. She has worked through numerous adversities but still continues to preserve.

Manson’s middle schoolers continue to place well amongst the 9 teams placing 2nd for the boys and 3rd for the girls. Boy’s team was led by Jonathan Sarmiento and Grant Torgesen, placing 6th and 7th prospectively. On the girls’ side Joanne Founier and Cara Hutton were the top finishers placing 13th and 16th.

Middle school runners finished their season today with great optimism for next years’ season with 15 team members dedicated and hardworking athletes. The high school runners continue their quest for a state berth at the district meet next Saturday at Wenatchee River Front Park. Top 4 teams and top 28 individual finishers will advance to the state competition the following week in Pasco at Sun Willows Golf Course.
