[7/25/16] Making Sense of Construction Delays and Alternate Routes

On US 97A Monday ONLY, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., expect flaggers and up to 20 minute delays where crews are installing asphalt patches in advance of chip sealing coming later this summer. Use US 97 across the river as an alternate route.
 
On US 97 Tuesday through Thursday, 6AM to 8PM expect flaggers and up to 20 minute delays where crews are installing asphalt patches in advance of chip sealing coming later this summer.
US 97A is the recommended alternative.
 
On US 2 from Farmer to Coulee City, Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect 20 minute delays with flaggers where a crew is removing old rumble strips and striping and grinding driving lanes in preparation for chip sealing.
 
On US 2 from Lower Sunnyslope to School Street Monday and Tuesday Only, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., expect one lane at a time to be closed and speed through the work zone reduced to 35 where our maintenance crew is chip sealing damaged pavement. Motorcycles use extreme caution.
 
 
On SR 17 (MP 87-89) Blue Lake curve warning signs Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect short delays with flagger controlled traffic where a crew is installing orange and black curve warning “chevron” signs.
 
 
On SR 17 from Leahy to Brewster Monday and Tuesday Only, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., expect up to 20 minute delays with flaggers and pilot car led traffic where a contractor crew is installing centerline and shoulder rumble strips.
