[5/31/16] LAKE CHELAN LIONS CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT A BIG SUCCESS
The Lake Chelan Lions Club is proud to announce that our 2016 golf tournament fundraiser at Bear Mountain Golf Course on Friday, May 20th was a huge success. The weather was great, the turnout amazing, and the golfing scores were the best ever! Thank you to the many sponsors who help us make this event possible. Our golf towel sponsor was Lakeside Heating and Air, Lakeview Drive-In sponsored the Putting Contest, the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and Chelan Napa Auto Part as well as numerous hole/tee sponsors and local wineries donated. A special thank you to our volunteers from the local Chelan Starbucks. These events do not happen without the help of our local businesses, individual sponsors and the many amazing volunteers.
The first place team with a score of 59 was Front Line Real Estate lead by realtor Russ McClellan followed by a very close 2nd place for Coldwell Banker team lead by Rhett Crow. With many scores in the low 60’s, all were playing well on Friday! Even our guest Seahawk alumni players did a great job on the course with the support of our sponsor, Tom Gormley of Lakeside Lodge and Suites.
The winner from the Putting Contest was Gabe Flores taking home $305 in cash. The longest drive for the women went to Christina Eichmeyer and longest drive for the men was Zach Aaker. Our guest golfer from the Lake Chelan High School, Casey Jackson, won a closest to the pin.
