Tuesday, May 2nd, 7:00 – 8:30pm at the Winthrop Barn, free
“Tides: The Science & Spirit of the Oceans”
After nearly losing his 65’ wooden schooner in a large Alaskan tide, writer, sailor, and surfer Jonathan White vowed to understand the tide. Ten years later, he had read three hundred books and crisscrossed the seven seas to see the largest, fastest, scariest, and most amazing tides in the world. With photographs, stories, and short readings, Jonathan takes his audiences on an enthralling journey into the surprising and poetic workings of the tide.
The program is free and open to everyone. The doors open at 6:30pm. Trails End Bookstore will be there selling his new book, “Tides.” For more information, contact 996-2870 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
