[5/31/16] DCSO Looks At Armored Vehicle Program

 Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is in line to replace their armored vehicle, after receiving approval from Douglas County Commissioners to apply for a program that will allow them to apply for a mine-resistant ambush protected vehicle- also called M-RAP.

The M-RAP vehicles are designed specifically to withstand improvised explosive devices attacks and ambushes for the US Military- and a military surplus program puts law enforcement into these former military vehicles.
