[10/3/16] Chelan Man Arrested On 29 Felony Charges After Stealing Firearms
28 year old Robert Bell, of Chelan, is being held in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on 29 felony charges, after confessing to authorities that he and an accomplice are the ones who burglarized a Chelan area home 3 weeks ago, stealing multiple firearms and causing more than $5k in damage to the home.
Bell has been charged with 1st degree burglary, 1st degree theft, possession of stolen firearms, trafficking stolen property, malicious mischief in the 1st degree, 11 counts of theft of firearm and 11 counts of unlawful possession of firearm. All 29 charges are class b felonies, and Bell is looking at a lengthy prison sentence.
Authorities say Robert Bell admitted to burglarizing the home with his 34 year old girlfriend, Luz Rosales, stealing the weapons and later selling them.
This is not Bell’s first run in with the law- he was released from state prison in February after serving 13 months of an 18 month sentence for a previous conviction of burglary and firearm theft.
