[11/3/16] Chelan County Healthcare Professional Charged With Unprofessional Conduct

Posted in Health

The Washington State Department of Health has taken disciplinary action against a Chelan County healthcare provider.

The Department’s Health System’s Quality Assurance Division works with boards, commissions and advisory committees to set licensing standards for more than 80 healthcare professions including medical doctors nurses and counselors.

In September, the Nursing Commission charged Registered Nurse, Carol Whaley with unprofessional conduct.

Whaley allegedly did not comply with a substance abuse monitoring contract.

Healthcare professionals charged with unprofessional conduct have 20 days to respond to the Department of Health in writing. The case then enters the settlement process.

If no disciplinary decision can be reached, the case will go to a hearing.
