Today, crews are either working on or en route to the fires that are burning mainly in or adjacent to the Naches, Wenatchee River, Entiat and Chelan Ranger Districts.

Firefighters were also busy last night in the Chelan fire district, with several reports of smoke from watchful residents.

Three of those calls turned out to be brush fires, and they were quickly knocked down.

Fire Lieutenant Evan Woods said another small brush fire was reported at about 1:30 this morning in Union Valley, but a brush truck at the new fire station was able to take care of it.
