[12/30/15] 2015 Review: Remember Autumn Veatch?

Posted in Feature

On Saturday, July 11, 16 year old Autumn Veatch was a passenger in a small airplane with her step-grandparents, traveling from Kalispel Montana to Lynden Washington when the plane crashed into the wilderness near Mazama. Her grandparents were killed in the crash.

Autumn walked away from the plane, and traveled many miles for two days in what is being called thickly forested mountainous area. She was picked up by a motorist and taken to a general store in Mazama where authorities were called and she was taken to Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster.
